Do you have a dream? – Bloggers Corner

Don’t ever let somebody tell you, you can’t do something
Not even me, alright? (alright)
You got a dream, you gotta protect it
People can’t do something themselves
They wanna tell you that you can’t do it
You want something, go get it. Period

“Impossible” “Can’t” “Unrealistic” are words that should not form part of your vocabulary if you want to set out to achieve your dreams and succeed in life. Once you believe that things can’t be done you are on a boat that is heading downstream and you are going to plunge into the darkness.

In life you will always have obstacles that you need to negotiate but have you noticed how some people are quick to tell you that YOU can’t or YOU’RE not ready for this? And they will try explain why this goal cannot be achieved! Scenarios that come to mind for me “You cannot apply for this job because….” “You cannot run this race because …” “You cannot climb this mountain because…”

Sometimes all it takes is a little faith!

“Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things unseen.”

Most of us simply feel safer to try nothing and achieve nothing instead of just trying one new thing?
Classic example for runners!
“It used to be thought that it was not humanly possible to run a mile in less than four minutes. But on May 6th, 1954 English runner Roger Bannister broke the four-minute barrier with a time of 3:59.4. Now it’s almost commonplace. Some high-schoolers have accomplished it—and the current record is 3:43.13.”

We are all afraid but take today to fight the natural and move into the unnatural where you say “Screw this! I am going for it!!” Sure we will fall but don’t let that thought deter you from even trying!
