Running the Karkloof

I love heading out into the Midlands of KZN, it’s truly a special place! Just the feel I get from seeing distant mountains gives me a sense of place. The Karkloof trails are made up of an extensive network across Sappi land so the trails run through the gum and pine plantations at points. Urban Trail Running – Westville, Durban

  Exploring my local neighborhood, Westville, is one of the adventures I look forward to most days. I’ve found tough challenging trails right on my doorstep. I usually cover between 10 – 15 kms on this route depending on what loops I take. Westville is extremely hilly so you’re mostly running up or down!
